Follow your dreams?
Hello me, myself and of course all the bloggers who are thrilled to read this.
Last year I started college in Amsterdam. I had a pretty fun and tough year. I made new friends and learned alot. Now I’m in the second year and I’m specialising in a studie direction I would rather work in when I’m graduated.
Well, first term is done. After this little week called autumnholiday I start with my second term. It’s going so fast. College, they say, is the most incredible time of your life. I guess they’re right! I’m blessed to study something I really like to do. But now I’m stuck in a really tough decision. Before I tell you about it you should know something about the study:
First year: preparatory instruction
Second year: 3 terms of college, 1 term of course [10 weeks]
Third year: A course of a half year or a minor of a half year. [The minor I want to do is in spring]
Last year: A course of a half year or a minor of a half year and an essay.
Well, I had it al planned out:
A course of 10 weeks I do in the Netherlands. In the third year I go to a foreign country to do a minor and in the fourth year I would do a course.
I really want to do a minor in Denmark or Sweden. [You think I’m nuts!] Now I figured it’s gonna cost me 700 euro’s a month. Alot of money. The total picture will cost me 4200 euro’s or something. I got more then a year to get the money together. But then, I want to go on a vacation and I want to do alot of other stuff.. so goodbye Sweden/Denmark? Noooo! I though what if I turn it on? I’ll do a course in year three and a minor in year four!
Hmm, I’m not sure of everything. I’m just down because I really want to go but I guess I can’t. My parents say I have to be realistic and I know that but I don’t want a life time chance slip away.
I’ve got two options:
- Work work work work work!! To get all the money in 15 months.
- I will do a minor in my last year.
** Say grandma I’m a sweet child, maybe she will support me, hahah! =) [I’ve got a great grandma though!]
Enough crap talking to bother you with. I just had to let my heart out hihi.
